Criteria for Trinity College School of Business Eminent Scholar Award
This award is given to an individual who has made an outstanding academic contribution to the field of management. Nominations
- Each University/College/Institution which is an active member of the Irish Academy of Management may nominate a person for the award.
- The nomination must be accompanied by:
- The nominating academic institution;
- A curriculum vitae (or relevant informative information) in relation to the candidate
- A maximum of 2 pages of double spaced 12 pt print in support for the candidate
In order to be nominated for this award the candidate must have outstanding contribution to the discipline of management, in some or all of the areas below:
- Outstanding research contribution;
- Outstanding teaching contribution;
- Outstanding service to business and/or community.
- All nominations must be received by the 1st of April prior to the conference.
- As there is a council meeting in April of each year, this award will appear as an agenda item and the nominations will be accepted at that meeting.
- The council members from each university/college/institution will be emailed in order to encourage nominations for this award.
Judging and Announcement of Award
- A panel selected the School of Business Studies Trinity College Dublin will adjudicate on the award.
- The panel's decision will be final.
- The winner will be announced at the conference dinner at the annual conference of the Irish Academy of Management
- A cheque for the amount of €1,000 will be given to the candidate at that stage.
- We will be encouraging the award winner to give a presentation.
