IAM Annual Conference, 6-8 September 2006
The IAM Annual Conference 2006 is being hosted by the Department of Management & Marketing, University College Cork, Ireland, from Wednesday, 6th September to Friday, 8th September, 2006. The conference theme of IAM 2006 is 'New Models of Management in the Knowledge Economy' Individuals, groups, organisations and societies actively construct their identities through modelling or emulating others. Papers addressing the theme of mimesis and modelling are invited. Papers addressing the issue of innovation and the management of innovation are also welcome. In particular we invite papers that engage with the fascination us moderns have for the 'new': new knowledge, new products, new services, new ventures and even the 'new economy.' We seek papers that explore the concept of a knowledge-based enterprise, and whether the extension of this concept to a broader set of sectors, culture, tourism, academia, and suchlike, is a help or a hindrance.
